A WESTON woman has been banned from driving and hit with a court bill of over £1,000 for a motoring offence.
Lucy Ashmore, 51, of Stock Close, Milton, also knwn as Lucy Jane Jones, was found guilty in her absence of failing to give police information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
North Somerset Magistrates' Court heard that Ashmore committed the offence on May 10 last year.
She was fined £660 and ordered to pay a £264 victim surcharge and a contribution of £90 towards prosecution costs.
And she was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months.
Magistrates ruled that the ban was obligatory "due to repeat offending" after handing her six penalty points.
A further charge of breaking a 50mph on the M5 on April 4 last year was withdrawn by the court.
Ashmore must pay her total court bill of £1,014 by Tuesday (January 16).
