Tom Farrand, of the Donate For Defib Weston-Super-Mare Project, is putting on his running trainers to raise money for the initiative.
He's gearing up for the Weston Super Half Marathon in March in preparation for the TCS London Marathon, scheduled for April.
Mr Farrand is hoping to meet, and possibly exceed, his goal of £2,000 worth of donations.
The funds will help provide defibrillators in Weston-super-Mare and nearby areas.
Mr Farrand, as well as long-time friend Josh Bell, are the project’s leading partners.
Donations can be made through the Great Western Air Ambulance's Enthuse page online.
