2024 is expected to be the year of Birnbeck Pier, according to The Birnbeck Regeneration Trust.
Earlier this year, North Somerset Council announced the purchase of the historic structure.
Speaking in July, Cllr Mike Bell, leader of North Somerset Council, said: "Thanks to our partners' unwavering support along with millions in funding, we will now be working as quickly as possible to get on site, prevent any further collapse and renovate the pier and its buildings for future generations to enjoy."
Posting on Facebook, a spokesperson from The Birnbeck Regeneration Trust said: "It is a great relief that the ownership of Birnbeck changed this year.
"The island buildings have had a torrid time with the lack of any investment or care under the previous corporate ownerships and sadly, the latest victim to the elements is the roof of the accommodation block.
"There is plenty going on behind the scenes and we look forward to physical works starting next year. 2024 the year of the pier."
