A student at Priory Community School Academy in Weston-super-Mare has raised over £1,000 and collected 179kg in food for the local FoodBank recently.
Sam, who is in year seven, decided to raise money for the Foodbank as it is the charity of the year for Priory and the whole The Priory Learning Trust!
Sam also helped to organise and run a ‘pre-loved’ uniform sale during the summer.
Despite being at the school for a month, Sam has already made his mark and was recently awarded the Principal’s Student of the Week.
Staff at Priory Community School Academy in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset are really proud of his achievements and for all the items and money received.
Head of Year Lee Dodson said: “We are all super proud of Sam. He is clearly already settling in at Priory and has shown remarkable kindness, generosity and community spirit.”
Priory is part of The Priory Learning Trust which has chosen to support local needs by naming Foodbank as their charity of the year for 2022-2023.
Foodbank collection points are across receptions in every school so students, staff, parents and carers can donate food and other items.
