WESTON College welcomed two four-legged friends to their Knightstone Campus in honour of World Mental Health Day (October 10).
Alfie and Diesel, two welfare dogs, were brought along by their owners to help students relax and de-stress.
Students said that Alfie and Diesel’s presence brightened their day and provided a much-needed reprieve from their schedules.
According to the college, the dogs lapped up the attention and affection from the students.
World Mental Health Day encourages people to open up about their mental health struggles.
The World Health Organisation's website reads: "The overall objective of World Mental Health Day is to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health.
"The day provides an opportunity for all stakeholders working on mental health issues to talk about their work, and what more needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people worldwide."
Tomorrow (Thursday, October 12), the dogs will visit even more students at the South West Skills campus.
