A CHARITY dog walk is set to take place this month.
On October 29, residents and their canine companions will gather to take part in a fancy-dress dog walk, which will begin at 1pm in front of The Tropicana.
The group will make their way to Uphill Beach and back.
All proceeds from the Halloween-themed walk will help raise money for the PDSA, an animal charity which helps pet owners who may not have the money to pay for veterinary treatment. When this is the case, it is often the animals who suffer.
The PDSA website reads: "We have been taking care of pets in need for over 105 years. In 2022, vets and vet nurses in our 48 Pet Hospitals cared for over 4,600 sick and injured pets every day.
"Caring for pets whose owners can’t afford the full cost of their veterinary treatment is the reason we’re here. But we’re also a leading authority on pet health, and we raise the status of animals by celebrating their contributions to our lives."
