A PRIMARY school in Weston-super-Mare is inviting former staff and students to celebrate a special date in its history.
It's been 20 years since Herons' Moor Academy first opened, and the school is hosting a reunion to celebrate the occasion.
Two celebratory open afternoons will be held from 4-6pm on September 27 and 29.
They hope those in attendance will enjoy the opportunity to reconnect with past friends and teachers.
Visitors will be able to tour the school and see exhibitions of past and present photographs, along with current pupils' work which centres around celebration.
A spokesperson for Herons' Moor Academy said: "If you are an ex-pupil, member of staff, or governor, you will be welcomed to visit and talk to staff about your memories of life at Herons’ Moor."
Principal Julie Fox, who has been leading the school since it opened, said: “Herons’ Moor opened in 2003 in temporary accommodation on the site.
"In 2004 we moved into The Campus with Baytree School.
"It has been a privilege to lead Herons’ Moor through the years and watch it grow into the great school it is.”
