A NEW CCTV camera has been installed at Grove Park following concerns of "increased drug use."
According to the Safer Stronger North Somerset team, there has also been an increase in high-visibility patrols, which could act as a deterrent to those wanting to use the park to engage in anti-social or criminal activity.
These measures have been taken following concerns expressed by local residents, who had their say using the Street Safe service.
This allows people to express their safety worries in public spaces, including poorly lit streets and abandoned buildings.
Posting on Facebook, a spokesperson from the Safer Stronger North Somerset team said: "You said, we listened!
"Reports on #StreetSafe highlighted to the team that residents felt there was a lack of CCTV and increased drug use in #GrovePark.
"We have responded by increasing high-visibility patrols and installed a new CCTV camera!
