AVON and Somerset Police are appealing for information after a mobility scooter was stolen from a disabled resident.
The mobility scooter, which is estimated to be worth around £1200-£1500, was stolen on July 17 from Whitecross Road.
Unfortunately, the resident had no insurance cover.
A spokesperson from Avon and Somerset Police said: "At approximately 9.45pm on Wednesday, July 17, we received a call from a man reporting his disability scooter had been stolen from Whitecross Road in Weston-super-Mare.
“An investigation was carried which resulted in someone being charged with theft. They will appear in court later this month.
“Unfortunately, the scooter, a TravelScoot Escape, has yet to be recovered and we’d ask anyone with information about its possible whereabouts to contact us.
“If you can help, call 101 and provide the call handler with the reference 5223173330.”
If you think you could help, you are urged to get in touch.
