AVON and Somerset Police have confirmed that "no one was seriously hurt" following an accident on the A370 in Cleeve yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, July 18).
The car was left overturned after colliding with an electric pole on the major road, which remained closed for quite some time.
A spokesperson from the Avon and Somerset Police force said: "We were called just before 4pm yesterday (Tuesday, July 18) to the A370 at Cleeve following reports of a collision between a car and an electricity pole.
"Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt and the driver did not require an ambulance.
"The road was closed while the car was recovered, debris was cleared and the electricity pole made safe."
Fire crews from Weston-super-Mare also attended to make the scene safe.
