WESTON-super-Mare Civic Society is celebrating its 50th anniversary by gifting to the town a water refilling station.
And guests attending an opening ceremony in the Italian Gardens are being asked to take along a bottle.
The event is taking place tomorrow (Wednesday, May 31) at 10.30am.
The civic society's chairman David Agassiz will be presenting the gift to North Somerset Council Cllr Mike Solomon, the executive member for culture and leisure, and Cllr Mark Canniford, the executive member for spatial planning, placemaking and economy.
A spokesperson for Weston-super-Mare Civic Society said: "We are grateful for the collaboration with North Somerset Council and in particular to Ed McKay for assisting the process.
"It was built by EJ McGrath Construction Ltd.
"We very much hope people, both local residents and visitors, will take the opportunity to use this facility.
"It will reduce the number of single-use plastic containers.
"We encourage everyone to bring a bottle."
