PUPILS and staff at two schools in Weston-super-Mare have been throwing themselves into World Book Day today (Thursday, March 2).
To mark the occasion, Haywood Village Academy and Broadoak Academy dressed up in costumes of well known literary characters.
The two schools are members of the Cabot Learning Federation.
World Book Day is a charity event held annually in the UK and Ireland on the first Thursday in March.
Children in full time education receive a book voucher on the day.
