WESTON Civic Society will be celebrating its 50 year anniversary in their next meeting.
The purpose of the society is, as suggested on their website, to support development and work with local people to enhance the character and prosperity of the town.
The event, which is taking place on February 13, is open to all with free admission to Weston Museum's cafe bar.
Between the hours of 7.30pm to 9pm, residents can come and look back over the work the Weston Civic Society has carried out to help preserve the town's vibrant atmosphere.
You will be able to speak to those that helped make decisions and have inside stories, such as when the society managed to stop a 14-story block of flats being built in the 1970s.
Attendees will also be able to learn about current projects undertaken by the society, such as the cataloguing of trees in and around the town.
