In a recent Weston-based event, Pier Health Group has helped to break the stigma around menopause.
More than 100 women attended the Menopause, Mental Health, & Lifestyle event at Weston-Super-Mare’s Rugby Club on January 11th.
Topics discussed included mental health, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), sexual health and more.
Brandie Deignan, Chief Executive of Pier Health Group, said: "The fact that we had such a good response shows just how much this kind of conversation is needed.
"It’s a life-changing event that affects women’s careers and relationships as well as their health."
Marion Snelling, Group Lead Nurse at Pier Health and organiser of the event, added: "I am very excited by this event which gave Pier Health the opportunity to bring together women from all walks of life to embrace a common theme."
Pier Health will be running similar events throughout the year. Keep an eye on their website for more information.
