PREMIUM homebuilder in the UK, Redrow, has donated to Banwell Primary School in an effort to support their reception and year one children to immerse themselves in outdoor activities.
The donation has gone towards some essential and much-needed outdoor learning equipment, including a playhouse, mud kitchen, wheeled bikes, and Tuff Trays (for sand/water play).
Claire Pocock, headteacher at Banwell Primary School, commented: “It’s great to see the children getting involved with more outdoor learning activities now that we have access to these facilities. We want to thank Redrow for making this happen.”
Also commenting on the donation, area sales manager in the Southwest, Charlotte Newnes highlighted: “At Redrow, we aim to give back to our local communities where we can. We are delighted to see that the children are now outside during their playtimes, whatever the weather.”
Playing outdoors is proven to help children to develop self-confidence, independence, and self-esteem, making this donation quintessential in the development of the younger year groups at Banwell Primary School.
Simply being outside and getting fresh air away from the classroom is a brilliant way of ensuring the positive mental and physical wellbeing of the students.
Set in Somerset’s Mendip Hills, Redrow’s spectacular Woodborough Grange development is situated close to the school and offers a traditional village lifestyle with an active community centre.
Just 14 miles from Bristol, the Heritage Collection homes are available from £382,995.
