A FOOTBALL team has chosen to support the YMCA by putting its logo on the players’ training jackets.
The Weston Crusaders team is supporting YMCA Somerset Coast throughout the season.
A parent donated the money to provide the training jackets displaying the YMCA logo, rather than advertising a business.
Kevin Lilwall, youth work leader with the YMCA, said: “As a charity supporting young people we are always greatly heartened to see young people who actively want to give back to support others less fortunate than themselves.
“Our thanks to the team and the people involved in making this partnership, and we look forward to the future.”
The Crusaders hope to raise awareness of the YMCA’s services during the year.
