A kitchen fire in Weston-super-Mare needed two crews to extinguish it this morning (Tuesday).
Two engines from Weston Fire Station attended the blaze at a block of flats in Dunster Crescent, in the Oldmixon Estate, after receiving a call at around 11.15am.
A spokesman from Avon Fire and Rescue told the Mercury: “It was a small fire in a private flat kitchen, which appeared to be caused by a cooker being left on.
“A single high-pressure hose reel and one covering jet were deployed, and it was found the fire had been started accidentally.”
