People in North Somerset in need of fertility treatment and services will now have a new service available.
North Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has confirmed Bath Fertility will now provide fertility services such as IVF.
North Bristol NHS Trust recently announced it would stop providing a similar service and so action was taken to replace it.
The service will also be provided across Bristol and Gloucesteshire.
The new provider will take over in December and the CCG has said current patients’ treatment will not be paused.
Bristol CCG clinical chair, Dr Martin Jones, said: “We are committed to funding high-quality assisted conception services.
“Bath Fertility has a track record of delivering specialist, licensed fertility services with higher than average success rates. All existing services will continue to be available to NHS patients.”
