A Weston author has published a book on Down’s syndrome and dementia.
Bob Dawson has lived in Weston for 21 years. The book was written during the first lockdown period and Bob has also started the second in the series during the current lockdown, which will be on adult safeguarding.
Bob said: “It is a not an academic publication and is primarily aimed at family members, staff in health and social care and students. It is an introduction to this subject for those with little experience of this particular dementia.
“The book is in question and answer format and follows a normal training session I have been delivering for many years since I have worked in health and social care for more than 40 years.”
Down Syndrome and Dementia: A Guide for Family Members, Social and Health Care Staff and Students is available from Bob by emailing bob_dawson@ymail.com and via Amazon and is priced at £8.99. It is also available via other outlets including the Book Depository and Waterson's online.
