MARL CHAWNER

MARK CHAWNER, who was born and brought up in Weston-super-Mare sadly passed away on 21st September 2020 aged 53. He had advanced oesophageal cancer which was diagnosed just before he passed away. Mark went to Hillside Infants School, then to St Martin’s Junior school and attended Priory Secondary School. He qualified as a Lawyer in 1992 and whilst he was training he worked with the family firm, Chawner Grey and Co. He then worked in Bristol for over 20 years, namely with Lyons Davidson and DAS Law. He was an excellent lawyer and was well known for his involvement in the case of Lester v Woodgate. Those who knew him would say he had a unique sense of humour, a strong work ethic but never took himself too seriously. He will be sadly missed by all his family, friends and colleagues.
